City Hall and Trinitas Hospital are just a few blocks away. We are very proud of our heritage. Amber Court of Elizabeth is the former Elizabeth-Carteret Hotel, a landmark building erected in 1927. It was transformed into an Assisted Living Residence in 2004 and joined the Amber Court Assisted Living Communities as of May 2008.

Our Founders, Alfred and Judith Schonbereger lovingly manage Amber Court Communities. With characteristic devotion, they have brought unmatched quality care to seniors since 1968. Second generation family members are at the helm of each residence to guarantee the continuation of their guiding principles.
