Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge

Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge is a specialized memory care community that caters to the unique needs and challenges of those with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related illnesses. Our community was designed to offer an environment that fosters engagement and a sense of serenity. Our community consists of two buildings which are joined by a breezeway. This allows for smaller more intimate and home-like setting, ideal for those with memory impairments. Residents can relax in several common areas, including a cozy library, large family room, and enclosed interior courtyards. Our grounds are home to birds, rabbits, and squirrels much to the delight of the residents who feed them.

Activities are tailored to each individual’s abilities and preferences. For those residents who have difficulty tolerating stimulation, we provide familiar music, vintage movies, pet therapy, and ample opportunities for relaxation and quiet. For those residents wishing for a more lively activities schedule, we have several clubs and group events including:

• Morning walks
• Saturday ice cream socials
• Travel club

  For those residents able to participate in off-campus activities, we provide transportation to many local shops, attractions, and events including:

• Activities at our local senior center
• Christmas-light viewing

• Strolling around the Vancouver mall

  Meal times can be a great source of comfort and relaxation for our residents. Our chef goes the extra mile to prepare meals that are both nutritious and nostalgic. Our chef gets many repeat requests for his chicken and dumplings, peach cobbler, beef stroganoff, and pecan pie. In order to allow our memory care residents the best possible dining experience, we use brightly colored tableware and provide any assistance needed.
