Cardinal Village

Cardinal Village is the only memory-care dedicated assisted living community in Spotsylvania County designed and built exclusively for residents with memory impairments such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy-Body and other related dementias. While other assisted living communities may offer a ‘wing’ of memory care rooms, our state-of-the-art community features 60 spacious, light filled apartments all on one level. We offer a variety of private studio and companion suite floor plan options, as well as finely appointed common areas and professionally landscaped outdoor courtyards with walking paths.

Our highly trained staff is deeply committed to providing compassionate memory care and proactively communicating with residents and their families. They go through rigorous training in all aspects of dementia including behaviors, communication, activities and personal care.

Each resident’s memory care journey is unique. At the heart of every interaction with our residents, is the relationship we develop with them. We are exceptionally proud of our new embrace memory care program, combining the most recent research in the field of memory care with real world best practices identified by Senior Lifestyle with over three decades of work with individuals in all stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The embrace philosophy recently garnered an Argentum 2017 Best of the Best award for its Essence sensory stimulation program, a vital component of embrace programming.

Our embrace programming provides an opportunity for continued connection between our residents and their loved ones through specially designed programs, support, and education. Our programs are designed to keep our residents’ minds stimulated and active – keeping them engaged! With two to three programs going on at once, there is never a dull moment!
