Cordia at Grand Traverse Commons is unique in its commitment to the art and science of maintaining functional independence. We are located in Traverse City, Michigan, inside one of the largest historic preservation projects in the United States. In addition to being a heartbeat away from a vibrant downtown, the largest hospital in northern Michigan, a college, an art museum, and a symphony orchestra, we’re also attached to a village of shops and restaurants that keep us connected to the larger community. Walking/recreational trails, a YMCA, half a dozen religious denominations, and Lake Michigan are all in Cordia’s neighborhood.
Inside Cordia, Club members choose between two levels of membership which offer an inclusive list of amenities and benefits. Supportive care is individualized, always with the goal of respectfully maintaining and improving independence. We have a 24-hour wellness staff that includes a registered nurse, certified nursing assistants, and a personal trainer. Our chef sources local produce and meats, providing a menu that changes daily and sizzles with professional flair. Equally unique are our wide-ranging programs. Meditation, snowshoeing, photography, dinner theaters, and a writing club are just a few examples. Two artists-in-residence work alongside our members weekly.
