Hoffman Summerwood Community

Hoffman SummerWood Community is a national award-winning senior living rental community located in the quiet northeast corner of West Hartford. Our members enjoy their own beautiful apartment, featuring a fully applianced kitchen, living room, bedroom, and handicap accessible bathroom.

We provide fine kosher dining; breakfast and dinner are included, and lunch is available for purchase. Weekly housekeeping and linen service are also included, as is our very comprehensive transportation program. Of course, members can bring a car and will have reserved parking if they wish.

There are on-site fitness classes seven days a week, as well as many other social, educational, and cultural programs. We provide complimentary membership to the Mandell Jewish Community Center (JCC), located around the corner and shuttle service, where members can swim, exercise, take part in discussion groups and much more. We also provide memberships and shuttle service to the West Hartford Senior Center and the President’s College at the University of Hartford.

SummerWood is located close to Blue Back Square, Elizabeth Park, The Bushnell Theater, The Wadsworth Athenaeum and many other points of interest.

The management team and staff of Hoffman SummerWood Community demonstrate long-term commitment to the organization, under the leadership of the founding Executive Director, who has been in her position for more than 15 years. SummerWood is not-for-profit and is a member of the Hebrew HealthCare family.
