Morningside Ministries at Chandler Estate

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the beautiful Monte Vista Historic District is located just north of downtown San Antonio, and is home to Morningside Ministries at The Chandler Estate.

The centerpiece of The Chandler Estate is the grand Victorian-style home, built in 1887, which as been loving restored and is now home to The Chandler Center. The Chandler Center provides a daytime activity center for older adults in the San Antonio area, where they can enjoy the many amenities of the Chandler community. Center members enjoy exercise & fitness classes, creative art classes, game days with bingo, dominoes and bridge, spa services such as facials and manicures, day trips and extended trips through the Morningside Travel Club, educational seminars and programs, computer classes and a discounted lunch in the Center dining room.

The Chandler Retirement Apartments is an intimate community only 39 residences providing one- and two-bedroom apartments. Apartment residents enjoy all the services and amenities of The Chandler Center, adjacent to the apartments.

Chandler Assisted Living bridges the gap between independent living and nursing care. Offering a variety of services and amenities in a home-like atmosphere, all residents receive 3 meals daily, housekeeping and a full activity program. Assistance with bathing, dressing, medication management and laundry services can be arranged, if needed. With only 24 suites, residents receive personal attention tailored to their individual needs, while enjoying the company of others who soon become close friends.

Chandler Health Care is state licensed to provide services and rehabilitation to people who require full-time nursing care. With 125 beds, Chandler Health Care offers a variety of nursing services from custodial to skilled care to rehabilitation, hospice and respite care.
