Mountain View Personal Care Home

Mountain View Personal Care Home, Inc. Was established as a ‘pauper’s farm and poor house’ for DeKalb County’s elderly indigent population in 1882 — yes, 1882!

We have a history of providing long term care, a variety of services and stability for our residents. Mountain View becomes home for them and some of our residents have lived here for 30+ years. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, we have made significant contributions to the welfare of senior citizens throughout the community. We foster a cozy environment that feels like home.

Our mission is to assist those who cannot independently care for themselves, thereby improving their quality of life. We take great pride in providing the services and care that allows them to live their lives with dignity.

Our certified staff, residents and volunteers develop relationships that allow them to openly communicate and jointly participate in activities that keep our residents physically, emotionally and spiritually stimulated.

Our home provides freedom for residents to move about, yet the grounds are enclosed for privacy and their security. A MARTA stop is conveniently located in front of our Home, and we are minutes away from shopping, hospitals and Stone Mountain Park.
