We Are Family helps older adults with activities-of-daily-living limitations to make the most of their lives in a secure environment designed for comfort, safety and socialization. We help seniors and their families plan for a wide range of elder care issues and keep family members informed and involved with the confidence that their loved ones are enjoying the most independent, safe and dignified lifestyle possible, in a splash of luxury.

What we do

Adult Family Care Homes are private residences that are licensed by the State of Floridy to provide housing, meals, and personal care services to older persons and disabled individuals. The Florida Legislature recognizes that adult family care homes are an important part of the continumn of long-term care. As a licensed adult family care home, We Are Family provides housing and personal care for frail elders and disabled adults who choose to remain as independent as possible by living with a “normal” family in a private home, in order to delay or avoid placement in a nursing home or other institution.

The personal care We Are Family provides includes individual with room and board, assistance with or supervision of activities of daily living and the self-administration of medication, supervision, health monitoring, social and leisure activities, etc.

We provide every resident with a copy of the Resident’s Bill of Rights and make an extra effort to identify and meet the special needs of all our residents. To that end, we encourage residents access to all areas of their homes here at We Are Family, and self-determination in activities, socialization, and food preferences. We Are Family is not just a caregiving facility— it is their home.

We also value the time, skills, and expert opinions of our well-trained and qualified team. We are committed to providing fair and living wages, reasonable, structured work schedules, and clear duties and spheres of rights and responsibilities for each team member. We do not expect staff to do work for which they are not trained; we do expect them to share their suggestions for improving any aspect of We Are Family working operations or caregiving. We aim to provide jobs which not only provide sustenance for our workers’ families, but also allow them a space to make a difference in the world around them, through caring and expert assistance to our community’s most vulnerable members.
