Pyareo Home

Pyareo Home(pronounced pE-ar-E-O and meaning ‘beloved or dear ones in an Indian Language) has provided loving care for the elderly in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire since 2000. Some residents have come from the immediate area while others have sought out Pyareo Home from as far away as California. With only seven rooms the experienced staff provides assistance tailored to the specific needs of each resident, who they know well. Freed from the burdens of home maintenance, shopping, cooking, and bill paying, one resident remarked, ‘I should have moved here a long time ago.’ In addition delicious, healthful meals are served including breads that are baked at the Home with flour that is ground by the cook.

Pyareo’s seven rooms, each with a private bath and patio, open onto a large common room, lit by clerestory windows high above. Residents are free to choose the privacy of their rooms or to mingle and share meals in the common area. The Home is in a rural area and many residents become very interested in the wildlife they see in the nearby fields and woods. But Pyareo is located just minutes from an interstate highway, shopping centers, and a hospital.

Call for an easily arranged tour or come to lunch; photos do not convey the beauty of Pyareo Home—it must be seen to be fully appreciated.
