River Woods Place

River Woods Place is an award winning assisted living community that will treat you and your family as one of our own. We are located in the friendly community of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. We are close enough to downtown Manitowoc for outings and shopping yet far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet.

We have accommodations to fit every need and budget as well as guest rooms for visiting friends and family. Apartments have safety features in the bedroom and bathroom and are also wheelchair and walker friendly. Units with kitchenettes and microwaves are also available.

Our community is designed for socializing, we have lounges and activity rooms and all meals are served restaurant style in our community dinging area. We offer a beauty salon and barber shop to keep you looking your best. We also have a computer room with internet access so that you can keep in touch with friends and family or surf the web just for fun.

We offer a varied activity schedule with outings to restaurants, zoos and shopping. Our ice cream socials, bingo and happy hours are especially popular with both residents and their families. Our in-house activities include:

  We strive to keep residents as independent as possible while meeting their individual needs. We realize that each resident is a unique individual so we develop a care plan based on what each individual’s care needs. We have 24-hour on site staff, including a Registered Nurse. In case of emergency we are located just 2.5 miles from Holy Family Memorial Hospital. We offer medication assistance and assistance with activities of daily living if needed.

  We offer three meals and snacks per day, offering such favorites as turkey with all the trimmings and fresh cherry pie. Our menus are created by a registered dietician and are both delicious and nutritious.

  We realize what an important part pets play in our lives, so we welcome your furry, well-behaved friends as well.
