The Fairfax is a continuing care retirement community conveniently located near Fort Belvoir, VA and is the perfect option for individuals over the age of 55 looking to enjoy and active, fulfilling life with none of worries of home-ownership. Meals, housekeeping and maintenance are included in the monthly fee.
Residents enjoy independent living on our beautiful 60 acre campus with walking trails, indoor pool, tennis courts, a putting green and a seven acre lake and nature preserve. The Fairfax offers a variety of living options including 347 apartments and 35 cottages. If health care needs increase, there are 52 assisted living suites, 23 memory care suites and 56 Medicare certified health care beds.
Our close proximity to Fort Belvoir I-95, Route 1 and Washington DC make The Fairfax an excellent location to call home. The continually updated community opened in 1989 and was developed by the non-profit Army Retirement Residence Foundation — Potomac.
