Brereton Manor Guest Home
Brereton Manor was purchased by Bill Boyd to take care of his mother because he was dissatisfied with the care she was receiving at other homes where she had been placed. The 24 room home was built to be a personal care home. It sits in the middle of farmland and is surrounded by horse pastures and cornfields. One nice feature that promotes enjoyable visits is the home’s horses are integrated into the activity program by offering free riding lessons to the resident’s grandchildren. Because of Brereton’s small size each resident is able to receive personalized personal care, and friendships with other residents are easily made. The reasonable rates are all inclusive for room, care, meals, laundry, and cable; usually the only extra charge on the home’s bill is for any hairdressing done at the home’s beauty shop. There are no buy-in fees or security deposit; room rates are dependent upon size of the room and type of bathroom (fully private, powder room or shared). Less than four miles South from Lancaster County’s Centerville exit of Route 30, you will be away from the hectic pace of life and very quickly understand why people say ‘It’s not A home. It IS home!!!’
Brereton Manor Personal Care Home truly is a place for Mom.
