20 years ago, my husband and I welcomed seniors into our home. We named it after my grandmother Catherine. We reside in the home together with the seniors.

Catherine’s House provides a substitute life care program designed after the Green House concept. Our home was the first in the state of Maryland to be planned after the Green House.

We imagined a home where seniors and others can take delight in an exceptional quality of life and care; where they, their loved ones, and our team take part in profound relationships established on fairness, empowerment, and reciprocated respect; where people desire to reside and work; and where everyone is safe, supported, and cherished without discrimination about their ability to pay.

There are no shift changes or weekend staff at Catherine’s House. This makes firmness, trust, and the ability to obtain as much information as possible regarding our residents’ personalized needs. Our full service program reduces the need to transfer residents as their needs progress.
