Memory Care at Christian Care

Our Memory Care Unit provides a unique program that has been developed for individuals in mid-stages of dementia. The Unit features three key components that set it apart as a truly specialized program: a secure building that has been designed and furnished specifically for people with dementia; activity centered care that focuses on each resident’s abilities and interests; and ongoing dementia-specific staff training. The care provided in the Memory Care Unit is built on relationships between our residents, their families and staff. We recognize that Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias affect not only the resident, but the entire family and we are committed to walking this journey with both. At the heart of the program is activities. We provide not only planned group activities, but also recognize the importance of spontaneous moments throughout the resident’s day. Our goal is to provide days filled with enjoyment and purpose for each resident.
