The Seabrook of Hilton Head
The Seabrook of Hilton Head, a non-profit, opened its doors in October 1982 as the Island’s first retirement community. Shortly thereafter, The Fraser Health Center, located on the Seabrook Campus, was the first Skilled Nursing Facility in our area. Over the last 35 years, the Seabrook has had thousands of residents enjoy the comfortable, casual lifestyle offered.
Hilton Head Island, one of America’s favorite resorts, is the perfect place to retire. Known for its pristine beaches, sub-tropical climate (very mild winters), first-class golf and tennis, numerous shops and restaurants and amazing wildlife, our Island has so much to offer. Better yet, the Seabrook is less than mile from just about anything you would want to do! Also, Savannah and Charleston are a short drive away.
The Seabrook has a 21-acre campus that is most noted for its natural beauty – azaleas, camellias, magnolias and fig trees – that can be found throughout the community. Privacy is plentiful with the Sea Pines Forest Preserve bordering the south and west and the Holy Family Catholic Church our neighbor to the north and east. On the grounds, there are two gazebos overlooking a lagoon. With the fountain’s hypnotic flow, it’s the perfect place to meditate, read a good book or enjoy an evening cocktail before dinner.
The most unique feature is the “covered walkways” that connect the residential buildings to the Seabrook House. It’s just a short walk to the dining room, activity area, swimming pool, etc. Add the convenience of condominium living and you have the recipe for a relaxed lifestyle that’s socially-oriented and stress-free. We call it “heavenly!”
